Dear:
President of the Abruzzo Region
President of the Province Chieti
President of the Maiella National Park
President of 'Our Cultural Association Italy
President' s Archeoclub Abruzzo
Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage for Abruzzo
Subject: Appeal for the preservation of historical and archaeological site known as "Table of Brigands" located on the Maiella.
E 'with great regret that I find myself under stress and bring necessary attention to the condition of total neglect of one of the most original and poignant historical evidence offers the Maiella and preserves.
La Tavola dei Briganti, a set of slabs limestone surfaced at a height just beyond the saddle Acquaviva, on which, over the centuries, herders and some robbers have duosiciliani graffiti their names, their stories, the symbols of their lives and the historical-political considerations, lies in the National Park, completely exposed the deterioration of the weather.
Over the years I was able to see what the conditions and therefore the readability of the notes engravings are clearly worse, about to disappear.
I therefore appeal to the above associations and local authorities so that action is taken quickly and effectively, preventing the process of cancellation to take away a piece of history of our region and our country, peraltro oggetto di frequenti visite di turisti e sopralluoghi di studiosi.
Pescara, 28/08/2010 Distinti saluti
Caterina Gaspari
